Ebook Readers for Circulation

The Portage District Library will begin circulating portable ebook readers. We will have two Kindles for circulation. Each has a collection of 20 popular fiction and non-fiction titles, a collection that will grow over time, and will circulate for two weeks. They may not be renewed. You may place holds on the Kindles.

Our ebook readers will circulate from behind the adult information desk on the upper level. They must also be returned there. Ask at the adult information desk for details, or call (269) 329-4542 and choose option one for the adult information desk.

Our ebook circulation program will allow readers to bring a lot of reading along on short trips, make long waits entertaining, and browse a large number of current, popular titles on one handy device. It will also allow patrons (and us!) to investigate this newly popular medium.
