How do I find materials?
Use our Library Catalog to search for books, music, or movies. You can place a hold for items that are checked out or in the library. When they are available, we will pull the items for you, notify you that they are ready, and you can pick them up in the library or through our curbside service during our open hours. We will hold your requested items for seven days.
What if I can’t find what I need?
Interlibrary Borrowing
If you don’t see what you want in our catalog, you can use Interlibrary Borrowing. Click here to search the collections of member libraries throughout Michigan. You will be notified when requested items arrive at Portage District Library, and you can pick them up in the library.
Reciprocal Borrowing
You can also visit one of our reciprocal borrowing partner libraries. Each of these libraries provides free limited memberships to our residents.
