Young Artist’s Gallery

Discover and Celebrate Young Talent in our Community!

Discover the creativity of our local youth at the Young Artist’s Gallery, an exhibition located on the lower level of our library, across from the Youth Desk.

Our Young Artist’s Gallery is a celebration of the talent and hard work of young area artists, and we invite everyone to come and view the amazing artwork on display whenever they visit the library. We hope this exhibition will inspire and encourage others to explore their own creative potential.

If you’re an artist aged 10 or younger, we invite you to apply to be featured in our gallery. To apply, simply fill out the application form below after reviewing the guidelines.

Apply to be a Featured Young Artist

  1. Fill out the application form below.
  2. Guest artists will be selected and their displays will be scheduled by the library staff.
  3. Library staff will notify you when your time slot will be and when you should have your art pieces to us. We will do our best to give everyone a turn! Depending on demand, library staff may limit the number of times an artist may display their art.
  4. All art will be displayed for two weeks and then returned to you. You must pick up your art within one month of your display.

  • All art must be approved by library staff before display.
  • Maximum of seven art pieces can be displayed.
  • The art pieces must be drawings or paintings (no 3D art) with a maximum size of 8.5” x 11”, portrait orientation. If the pieces are smaller than 8.5” x 11”, we will mount them on another piece of paper using painter’s tape.

Notes:

  • Library staff will do their best to return the art in the same condition, but this isn’t guaranteed.

We look forward to receiving your application and showcasing your artwork in our Young Artist’s Gallery!
